Een stand-alone toegangscontroleapparaat is een combinatie van een controller en een lezer in één apparaat: kan gebruikers identificeren, beslissen of ze al dan niet toegang hebben tot de installatie en het elektronische slot via zijn relais bedienen. Hybride terminals combineren toegangscontrole en tijd- en aanwezigheidscontrole en kunnen ook tijd- en aanwezigheidscontrole van werknemers uitvoeren op het moment dat ze zich identificeren.
Deze apparatuur maakt identificatie mogelijk via kaarten of sleutelhangers met 125 kHz RFID EM-technologie, maar ook biometrie met gezichtsherkenning.
Geavanceerde configureerbare functies: 12 VDC uitgang (maakt directe voeding van het elektronische slot mogelijk zonder dat er een extra spanningsbron nodig is omdat het apparaat gevoed wordt door standaard PoE) en fungeert als video-intercom.
Dankzij de buitenklasse IP65 kan deze buiten worden geïnstalleerd.
Vanuit de software iVMS-4200 kunnen gebruikers, roosters en toegangsgroepen worden geconfigureerd, evenals speciale functies, openingstijden van relais of leestijden van lezers.
