Een stand-alone toegangscontroleapparaat is een combinatie van een controller en een lezer in één apparaat: kan gebruikers identificeren, beslissen of ze al dan niet toegang hebben tot de installatie en het elektronische slot via zijn relais bedienen.
Deze apparatuur maakt identificatie mogelijk via kaarten of sleutelhangers met 125 kHz EM RFID en 13.56 MHz MF-technologie, evenals een toetsenbord voor numerieke codes.
Geavanceerde configureerbare functies: 12 VDC uitgang (maakt directe voeding van het elektronische slot mogelijk zonder dat er een extra spanningsbron nodig is omdat het apparaat wordt gevoed door standaard PoE).
Dankzij de buitenklasse IP65 kan deze buiten worden geïnstalleerd.
Vanuit de CrossChex Standard software kunnen gebruikers, tijden en toegangsgroepen worden geconfigureerd, evenals speciale functies, openingstijden van relais of leestijden van lezers.
