Combination with components of the previous HVM series is not possible.
The new BYD Energy app including the latest firmware (from V1.28.0) Is required for commissioning.
The RJ45 termination of the data bus connector that is included in the scope of delivery must be fully assembled on site. To do this, a wire thread jumper must be inserted and shrunk between pins 1 and 6 (playback from the top of the flat connector side with the PIN contact surfaces, cable entry downwardly directed, pins ranging from left to right). An actual resistance is not required.
There is now also a '+' for the newest generation of HVM high-voltage storage systems from BYD. In addition to the proven properties and key data, an improved BCU is used in the new HVM +. This can be used flexibly for the storage modules of the HVB, HVS + and HVM + series. The new automatic SOC balancing optimiser eliminates the need to manually set the loading level during the first installation and expansion. The revised BCU connecting management with connectors on the power and communication level saves further valuable time during installation. The configuration of the system is also made easier with a new installation app. At the same time there is also a final customer app for handy system surveillance.
