The GT SAT GT-S3DCSS24 is an LNB that cannot be programmed and works with the DCSS standard, the LNB has 1 DCSS output that is in Dynamic mode with which 24 receivers can be equipped with satellite signal and 3 legacy outputs. The receivers that are connected to the DCSS output must then support DCSS / unicable. Several models in the market support this, including the Edision Piccollo.
Three of the four LNB ports of the S3DCSS24 are legacy outputs, with the legacy ports it is possible to generate a standard connection for a receiver that cannot handle DCSS.
DCSS means "Digital Channel Stacking Switch" - it converts received SAT signals to "User tables"
The converted transponders are combined / sent on a single coaxial cable to the receiver (s).
Communication between the DCSS multiswitches and the connected receivers is done via a specific protocol (EN50494 Unicable I & EN50607 unicable II) - using DiSEQC commands.
