The GT SAT GT DMS2T is a multiswitch with 4 inputs that can work both with a standard quattro LNB for 1 satellite position or with 2 Wideband LNBs for 2 satellite positions.
This multiswitch is equipped with the DCSS / unicable standard, which means that it can provide multiple receivers with satellite and terrestrial signal over one coaxial cable. With this multiswitch, there are 4 outputs that all four of 16 user bands can send out and this means that 16 receivers can be connected to a single coaxial cable per output. In total you can have 64 receivers with a GT DMS2T 64 receivers with DCSS signal.
The outputs are hybrid that means that it can send it to both DCSS / unicable and Legacy, with this, DCSS receivers can be connected to this multiswitch. Converting DCSS to Legacy and is arranged back with programmer Gt-dc2 or with the software dconfigurator®.
In Static Mode, the mode in which the multiswitch is programmed with the programmer Gt-dc2 or with the software dconfigurator® From GT-SAT, up to 32 transponders can be passed on to one coaxial cable.
Cascade
With this GT DMS2T Multiswitch it is very easy to connect a large number of users. If 32 receivers are not sufficient, the system can be very easily expanded by placing a number of these multiswitches, they are cascadable.
DCSS means "Digital Channel Stacking Switch" - it converts received SAT signals to "User tables"
The converted transponders are combined / sent on a single coaxial cable to the receiver (s).
Communication between the DCSS multiswitches and the connected receivers is done via a specific protocol (EN50494 Unicable I & EN50607 unicable II) - using DiSEQC commands.
