The GT SAT GT-DLNB2TN is an LNB that can be programmed according to the DCSS standard, the LNB has 2 DCSS outputs that can be provided with satellite signal in Dynamic Mode by default 16 receivers. These receivers must then support DCSS / unicable. Several models in the market support this, including the Edision Piccollo.
One of the LNB ports of the DLNB2TN is switchable between DCSS or Legacy, with the Legacy port it is possible to generate a standard connection for a receiver that cannot handle DCSS.
In Static Mode, the mode in which the LNB is programmed with the programmer Gt-dc2 or with the software dconfigurator® From GT-SAT, up to 32 transponders can be passed on to a coaxial cable.
In addition to satellite signals, it is possible to connect a terrestrial antenna via the LNB and to add the terrestrial signal on the coaxial cable.
DCSS means "Digital Channel Stacking Switch" - it converts received SAT signals to "User tables"
The converted transponders are combined / sent on a single coaxial cable to the receiver (s).
Communication between the DCSS multiswitches and the connected receivers is done via a specific protocol (EN50494 Unicable I & EN50607 unicable II) - using DiSEQC commands.
